It is the process of making yourself look the part to leave a positive impression of yourself in the minds of others. Professional grooming: In a corporate and a professional work-place, image and impression play an important role.
Grooming is caring for fingernails and hair examples of these activities would be styling hair, shaving, trimming and painting fingernails. Maintaining good health also includes the following areas: Nutrition, Leisure/recreation opportunities, sleep, and exercise.
What are the elements of professional grooming and etiquette?
Body hair should be trimmed so it doesn't appear above your collar or below your sleeves. If you're wearing an open collar shirt, chest hair should be groomed so it doesn't stick out. - Facial hair (including ear and nostril hair) should be neatly trimmed. - Eyebrows (as in “two” not “one”) should be neatly trimmed.
What is grooming for professional life?
It is an act of improving and caring for your own body and appearances. Self-grooming is far too essential for career development. Self-grooming involves bathing daily, personal hygiene and even dressing.

How important is Grooming? This is one very important question that job aspirants and Students are required to get trained in. With so many Institutions pumping out candidates with degrees and various certifications, quality of candidates is considerably low and ill trained. What is more required is that Educational Institutions should hold regular trainings with experts from Industry and Academia where students can get hands on experience of current trends in industry and environment.
